Abstract:

Suggests that people's decisions to adopt energy-conserving processes and products is a specific instance of the decision to adopt an innovation. Discusses diffusion processes and factors influencing diffusion of networks. Indicates that the spread of energy-conserving household innovations proceeds primarily along social networks.
