Systems Analysis

Some PEEC studies have sought to solve problems by breaking down a system, usually either an electricity system or a transportation system, to examine how the component parts can work together to accomplish a goal most efficiently. Our electricity system analyses, often done to help decisions makers, have covered incorporating increasing amounts of large-scale storage, electric vehicles and intermittent renewable power. One unique study quantified the environmental performance of various transportation fuels based on thermodynamic principles.
