Some approaches to achieving energy efficiency affect all areas of consumption. U.S. federal policies to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and other energy-related pollutants rely, especially in the near- to medium-term on efficiency gains throughout the economy. PEEC research has evaluated the impacts of several such policies in terms of costs, feasibility and dynamic interactions among the different sectors of the economy. Another project works with the Girl Scouts to improve energy efficiency at home, in transportation and in food decisions.
